Richard Seymour to the Raiders there was a talk about a youth movement that Belichick was wanting for his defense and now all of a sudden Junior Seau, when he's 40 years old he turns 41 in January. Is this a contradiction?

Well it's a little bit of a contradiction but I think sometimes during the season desperation sets in. You need a guy that kind of knows the system and gets things organized and they need somebody on the field that can make the other players a little bit better.

I think that's ultimately what they're going to look for Junior Seau. Junior Seau likes football, he's enthusiastic, he stays in great shape obviously. I think when they get him back next week, as he works his way through where he is right now, he'll be in good shape. I think at the point where he is in his career, he knows what he can do and most importantly, the picture is still what he can and can't do.
